Fire (Commercial)

Required Submittals ----- Important: Project address shall be displayed on all submittal documents. Applications with incomplete submittals will be delayed.

IMPORTANT: Electronic submittal document files are required to be named appropriately to ensure efficient permit processing. Review Naming Submittal Documents prior to starting ePermit process to ensure all files are labeled appropriately. Ansul Systems per MBC and MMC shall be by Scott County permit.

Fire Alarm Systems per MBC shall be by Scott County permit.

All other Fire Suppression systems shall be by Fire Code Official for township area of project or MN State Fire Marshal’s Division.

Submittal Requirements:

  • Contact & Contractor Form (PDF) - Type or print neatly. Upload completed contact and contractor form as applicable for the project. Contacts and sub-contractors listed will be notified of permit.
  • Building Plans - Complete set of plans including floor layout, cross sections, and elevations.
  • Engineered Design - Fire suppression system shall be by engineered design in accordance with all applicable MBC, MSFC, and NFPA provisions.
  • Specifications - Manufactures Specifications
