Sheriff’s Office’s 2020 ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card Design Contest Winners Announced

Congratulations to Elissa Westing, age 8, of New Prague for her winning design in the Scott County Sheriff's Office 4th annual 'Season's Greetings' Card Contest'!  Elissa’s artwork will be featured on the front cover of this year's official Scott County Sheriff's Office Greeting Card, which are mailed primarily to agency partners, sponsors and various officials.

In years’ past, Sheriff Hennen enjoyed lunch with the winner, but this year, he delivered Elissa’s prizes to her from a safe distance.  Elissa received a gift card to her favorite restaurant, along with other Sheriff’s Office goodies.

The runners-up were Ian McGlenn, age 8, of Prior Lake and Athena Martin, age 8, of Shakopee.  Ian and Athena also received bags of fun prizes.

“I appreciate the community involvement that takes place year after year to make this event a success,” said Sheriff Hennen. “It’s heartwarming to see so many positive depictions of law enforcement through the perspective of these children.”

A special thanks to the parents, teachers, and caregivers who helped the kids participate, and to all the other children who submitted their amazing designs.
