Scott County Sheriff’s Office’s 2020 ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card Design Contest

Sheriff Luke Hennen is again searching for creative kids to help design the artwork for its 2020 ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card. The winning entry will be used on the front of the Sheriff’s Office’s greeting cards which are mailed in December, primarily to agency partners, sponsors and various officials.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

WHO:    Scott County residents/students ages twelve (12) and under may submit original artwork to the “2020 ‘Season’s Greetings’ Card Design Contest.”

WHAT:  Original artwork with a winter-themed picture incorporating the Scott County Sheriff’s Office in some way (examples include winter activities (ice fishing, snowmobiling, sledding, ice skating, building snowmen or snow forts, drinking hot cocoa, baking cookies, etc.) with deputies/sheriff.  Other ideas include incorporating our Sheriff star and/or badge, our squad cars, or K-9 Deputy Floyd into your creations.

The design should portray positive police and community relationships.  We want children to understand that we are committed to their well-being, safety and security; our job is so much more than writing tickets and arresting people.

SPECIFICATIONS: Minimum size of 5”x7” up to a maximum size of 8.5”x11”.  Both horizontal and vertical formats will be accepted.

Artwork must be original, entirely the work of the entrant and not in violation of any copyrights.

WHEN:  Entries may be submitted now and must be postmarked by NOVEMBER 6th, if mailed.   Please attach the name of entrant, including age, full mailing address, contact phone number, and email address to the back of each entry.

Enter as often as you wish — the more the better.

WHERE: Design submissions must be made in-person or mailed to:
