Did you know that, until 1868, only crabapples reliably grew in Minnesota? Visit The Landing-Minnesota River Heritage Park and explore the fascinating story behind fall’s favorite fruit. Sample heirloom apple varieties and compare them to modern favorites. Press apples into cider and feed the pressings to pigs at the 1857 farm. Cost is $40 per family (maximum 12 people) and reservations are required. Call 763-559-5700 to make a reservation. This program is open to all ages and children 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
