May 23, 2019, 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM @ New Options-Proact
May 9-10, 22-24
New Options-ProAct continues a longstanding tradition with new plant varieties and special creations to raise funds for recreational activities in the community.
A new mix of plants for sale, some grown at New Options-ProAct in Shakopee and others brought in by supporting families, are being offered up as part of the longstanding New Options Greenhouse Sale days on May 9 to 10 and May 22 to 24. Hours run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on all five days.
Succulents are new this year, and there are many petunias as well as chairs with plants inside of them, explains direct support professional Connie Straub. Geraniums, herbs, hostas, and lilies will also be available. Straub said people with disabilities have fun with the plant work, and staff enjoy watching them participate.
Funds raised help cover leisure activities for the individuals with disabilities served in Shakopee. New Options-ProAct is located at 792 Canterbury Road South #132.
