A pavement reclamation/resurfacing of the existing four-lane segment between CH 83 and Dean Lakes Trail will also occur as part of the project. A study of the segment between CH 21 and CH 18 was also completed to evaluate changes in roadway geometries (no changes recommended at this time).

Purpose & Justification

With the completion of the CH 21 extension, CH 16 has become more important as an east-west connection between CH 83 and the new CH 21. Safety issues will be addressed by this project.
