SmartLink: Linking People to Transportation
Transit Link (commonly known as Dial a Ride) is a door to door reservation based bus service available to Scott County residents. If you need a ride, please call Customer Service at (952) 496 - 8341 Option 1 and we will do our best to accommodate your requested destination even on short notice. Hours of operation Mon-Fri are 6 AM-9 PM and Saturday & Sunday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM (Scott County only extended evening and weekend hours).
Free Grocery & Goods Delivery for Customers
The Transit Link buses are accepting requests from that would like groceries and goods delivered to their home. Call SmartLink Customer Service to request this service: (952) 496 - 8341.
Existing Transit Link customers can now order groceries and household essentials online from a store that has online shopping and local pick up. Transit Link will pick your order up and deliver to your house.
- The service is free – no fares for delivery.
- Book same-day or in-advance, just like you book a ride for yourself.
- Receive your delivery within 60 minutes of the scheduled pickup time.
- Four-bag limit remains in effect.
- Pickups must be scheduled at a commercial location.
- Drivers will verify your photo ID at drop-off.

Volunteer Driver Program
Our volunteer driver program is back and has a new name Hop Scott. Volunteer drivers have more flexibility than ever and can choose to drive their personal vehicle or one of our new Hop Scott mini vans coming October 2021. The Marschall Road Transit Station will serve as the transit hub for Scott County and consists of 400 park and ride parking spots for commuter bus service.
Many citizens volunteer to provide rides to ambulatory passengers when we do not have the space or time slot available.
SmartLink understands that riding the bus can be an overwhelming when potential riders are not familiar with bus service and how it operates. We are committed to teaching individuals of all ages and abilities to travel safely and independently using public transportation.
Dial a Ride is a shared ride transit service available when you call for a reservation. All ride requests are subject to availability and it is recommended you call 2-3 days in advance. Reservations can be scheduled up to 7 days in advance. The bus offers door to door service and rates vary based on time of day.
