Work will be performed under traffic from October 12th to November 30th, 2020, weather permitting. Individual lanes will be coned off to traffic while signal mast arms are installed, and median work is conducted.

A traffic signal will be constructed at the intersection of CH 21 (Eagle Creek Ave/185th Street St E) an CH 91/Natchez Ave.
Purpose & Justification
Operational issues have been identified at this intersection. During both the A.M. and P.M. peak hours it can be difficult for CH91/Natchez Avenue motorists to find an adequate gap in CH 21 traffic to safely complete left turns or through movements. Also, during the P.M., the peak hours can be difficult for westbound CH 21 motorists to find an adequate gap in eastbound CH 21 traffic safely turn left onto CH 91.
A traffic signal warrant analysis determined a signal is appropriate for this intersection. A traffic signal will improve intersection operations and safety by assigning operational right of way and removing the conflict between motorists on CH 21 and motorists crossing or turning left from CH 91/Natchez Ave.
