Adult Foster Care Training
Adult foster care providers with 0-5 years of licensure are required to complete at least 12 hours of training annually. Providers with 6 or more years are required to complete at least 6 hours of training annually. Some providers may seek additional licensure (245D licensure) through the Minnesota Department of Human Services so they can provide services through a medical assistance waiver.
Those providers with the additional 245D license may be required to complete additional training as directed through the state. For your convenience, a few training resources are listed below. You may obtain training resources from other organizations, just be sure to check with your Scott County Foster Care Program licensor to ensure the training meets the certification and/or reimbursement requirements.
